For most of her working life, Wendy has been involved in educating and assisting others improve their skills to achieve their goals and ‘be the best they can be,’ whether it be in the classroom, on the sports field or in the real estate arena. As a former Commonwealth Games finalist sprinter and World Masters’ Champion, Wendy understands what it takes to reach the top and was recognised with an MBE award. Her role with Tandem Realty involves assisting the new recruits establish their careers and providing up-skilling opportunities for the group as required.
Wendy’s real estate experience began establishing a rental portfolio while teaching in the Warkworth/Wellsford area. She joined Harcourts Ellerslie as a salesperson where she quickly established a successful selling career. In 2002 they moved to Christchurch where Wendy joined the Harcourts Holmwood franchise as Training and Recruitment Manager and worked towards her AREINZ qualifications. During this time, she continued her involvement with athletics and travelled as team coach to World Youth, Junior and World University Games.
In 2007, Wendy returned north to take up a role as Branch Manager for Harcourts Warkworth and Training Manager for the group. A move to Wellington in 2009 resulted in a return to the education field, where she was Assistant Head of Hall for Weir House, a student hall of residence for Victoria University. With her husband’s retirement, the return to the north and her home at Leigh was inevitable. Wendy is delighted to be back in the Harcourts fold, working with the successful Harcourts Tandem Realty group
